Abstract

The mathematical model was used to shown that the distance between acoustic survey tacks is reasonable to be selected based on the typical size of the surveyed region, allowable relative error in the biomass estimate, and the variation coefficient of the concentration density values. It is recommended to use the suggested criterion in real hydroacoustic surveys.
